I used to be the kind of manager that my bosses liked, but my staff didn’t. I got the job done, but people left companies because of me. Then, at age 37, I had a major life event that changed everything. After an ambulance ride, twenty four stitches in my head and three days in the cardiac ward — I had the realization that my attempts to have every aspect of my life at a “level 10” was making me miserable and literally almost killed me.
Ever since then, I have been practicing and studying to be better. I’m dedicated to finding better balance, being a better person, and finding satisfaction in supporting others on their journey. I’m just a normal guy, with a little bit of talent, who works hard, and I decided to make a living helping others become better than they used to be. I do this by sharing personal life lessons mixed with industry expertise, all with the determined goal of finding a way to HELP.
The first question Andy will ask is
“What are you trying to achieve, and how can I help you?
For the past thirty years, Andy has helped companies all over the United States by evaluating, creating, and delivering hundreds of development programs. Andy’s unique approach makes him a sought-after consultant, trainer, speaker, group facilitator and presenter. His passion for talent development comes across with every audience. His ability to use humor and firsthand experiences make the development experience relevant, memorable, effective, and fun.
Andy pulls from a depth of personal and professional experiences to help transform your high potential people into the leaders you need today. His varied experiences from running a state licensing agency, to years as a principal Talent Development Consultant with a leading construction consulting and investment banking firm allows him to connect with your people. Andy’s “real life” experience working in the office and the field, installing work, managing projects, and representing the owner means he knows how to improve business performance, and build organizational and operational excellence.
And, if he can’t personally help you, he will try to find someone who can.
Learning at its best.
Andy's sessions always include collaborative exercises that reinforce the concepts being learned — people are out of their seats, working as teams on creative little projects, and discussing the best ways to face challenges that Andy has placed in front of them. Then the whole group discusses what each team did and why they did it.
Andy's sessions do well in post-meeting surveys, they do great in word of mouth, and our members keep signing up for them in big numbers.
